Our Inaugural Site: St. Philip Neri
When searching for a Portland summer day camp, parents often prioritize a safe, contained environment where kids can focus on growth, without distractions. We found exactly that at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, located in the historic Ladd’s Addition. This beautiful site serves as our dedicated location, providing a secure and welcoming space where campers can get outside, cultivate skills & confidence, grow relationships, and have fun.
The campus layout is ideal for our skill-based programming. It offers the open space needed for our 5:1 camper-to-staff ratio to work effectively, giving our trained staff the ability to keep a close eye on every rider. Whether your child is just learning to balance on the church’s paved areas, taking a snack break under the shade of a tree, or navigating group challenges with their peers, the campus provides a controlled setting that encourages kids to get outside and have fun in a predictable, safe environment.
Using a central neighborhood location like St. Philip Neri also allows us to foster a "classic camp" feel right in the heart of the city. By keeping our instruction and exploration within the campus bounds, we create a specialized "skills lab" where kids can build confidence, manage their emotions, and practice teamwork through our experiential learning model. It’s the perfect spot for our community to gather, grow, and discover the joy of being in motion together.
