    Morning and afternoon sessions have the same structure and scheduling. The exact activities and delivery may vary between sessions.

    Who are the instructors at Biking Buds?

    Instructors at Biking Buds are local high school students, college students, and educators. Each instructor is First Aid/CPR certified, has passed a background/reference check, and has successfully completed the Biking Buds training curriculum.

    Do you provide bikes or do campers need to bring their own?

    All campers must bring their own bike to Biking Buds.

    What should my camper pack for camp?

    All campers need to pack:

    • Bicycle

    • Helmet

    • Water Bottle

    • Sunscreen

    • Snack

    • Lunch (only if attending for full day)

    What does a typical day look like at Biking Buds?

    The typical day at Biking Buds is chock full of fun. Biking skill development and on-bike experience are the focus of the activity blocks, with games, breaks, and snacks filling in the time between.

    What kind of activities will my camper participate in besides biking?

    Our day is a carefully balanced mix of structured biking instruction and classic camp fun. We believe a great camp experience includes opportunities for campers to connect with each other, play games, get creative, and simply be kids.

    Where exactly does Biking Buds camp take place in Portland?

    Biking Buds is located at the St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Ladd’s Addition, SE Portland. The street address is 2408 SE 16th Ave, Portland, OR 97214.

  • Can Biking Buds staff dispense medicine for my camper?

    No, Biking Buds staff can not dispense medicine to your camper.

    What happens if it's raining?

    Biking Buds programs run rain or shine! In the case of thunder storms, or other adverse weather conditions, campers and counselors will seek shelter indoors.
